Story

Myself and several other members of the community at Christchurch Wharton regularly go out and meet with homeless people on the streets of Manchester, Crewe and Chester. We give them food and drinks, toiletries and sometimes sleeping bags and clothing to show God's love in action.

We currently have been gifted a van, from which we would like to offer hot food and drinks on a more regular basis, but we need some more funds to be able to kit out the van and to ensure we can meet running costs - fuel, insurance etc.

I took up running during the summer to get fit initially, but it seemed that I was being 'poked and prodded' to use my new skills to do something else - the opportunity to participate in this run at the end of October offers me the chance to have fun and raise some funds for a cause I believe in and that will make a difference to others.

Please do help me if you can, and remember our work in your thoughts and prayers!
