It's been a volatile period for everyone and that includes our cricket club. Following the success of 2019, when we reached Division One for the first time in our history (and our second team won the Division 6 title), we were looking forward to testing ourselves in the top flight, following thorough preparation on and off the field. Sadly, the Two Counties League season never happened due to restrictions around the coronavirus - which left us with little income but all the costs.

The club lost nearly £10,000 last year - a significant sum that has depleted our reserves. In these testing times where we are having to spend so much time cooped inside, we believe sport gives people a great outlet helping physical and mental well-being. EBCC has always strived to encourage everyone of all ages to get out and play and provide events for all the local community to enjoy.
