Young divers at Eastbourne's Swimming Club are disappointed to be stuck on the poolside as Covid-19 restrictions are lifted - all because their diving board is broken.

The repairs will cost nearly ten thousand pounds, a figure out-of-reach for the Club and Eastbourne's Sovereign Centre where the children practice.

There are few diving facilities in the South East and even fewer successful diving clubs with the community support to nurture early involvement in the sport.

We're aiming to raise the money to fix the board so Eastbourne can continue to create Sussex county champions and secure the sport for the local community for years to come.
