Churches Together in Stocksbridge and Deepcar will ensure that the Easter Cross will be lit again this year. Last year people responded generously to an appeal for funds to maintain it but due to an administrative error the money wasn't claimed and donations were returned. Sincere apologies are offered for this. The cross is exposed to a lot of weather and needs a more secure housing plus replacement lights. Can you help, please? As always, Mr Greg Godley and family are thanked for the use of their land on which the cross stands, as are John and Wayne Hirst for their electrical work. Liberty Steel, thanks to Mr Russell Jackson, will provide the electricity for an extended period again.
