Recently a team of 5 of us completed a trek to Everest Base Camp for our chosen charities. Now a team of Firefighters from Llantwit Major and Barry along with some of the Everest Base Camp team are aiming to complete the Welsh Three Peaks on the 30th June in under 15 hours. Qe are aiming to continue to raise funds for the Firefighters Charity and Mind In The Vale Of Glamorgan. Both charities are meaningful to us. The Firefighters Charity helps provide needed and important treatment, help and support to friends and colleagues within the Service to enable them to return to duty after periods of both physical and mental ill health. It enables them to return and remain in the roles within our communities helping the people we serve.
Our second chosen charity is for Mind In The Vale Of Glamorgan. All of the team family, friends or colleagues that have been affected by mental health issues. This Charity helps, supports and assists in providing treatment for people with these issues whether they're from their personal life or are work related, so they can recover, and achieve their aims and goals. Please help us raise much needed funds and awareness for both of these vital and supportive causes. All money raised goes to the charities as the trek is completely self funded. We will keep everyone updated with our progress during the trek.
