In order to join a charitable trip to Mexico in August I need to raise a total of £2000. As part of a number of fund raising activities, I intend to climb Scafell Pike (the highest mountain in England) in April and would be grateful for any donation you feel able to give. I'd be delighted if I managed to raise £200 for this climb.

I'm travelling to Mexico in August with M10 Missions, https://www.m10.org.uk/ a north-east based charity which works with a local charity called YWAM in Mexico. M10 Missions aims to develop leadership skills in the 16-18 age group, this year by giving a group the opportunity to travel to Ensenada in Mexico to join in with ongoing projects there. I need to raise £2000 in order to cover flights, accommodation costs, a contribution towards materials used for housebuilding, etc. The main task will be to build a house for a family in need, and some of the money I need to raise will go towards materials for this. Any extra money raised will go towards furniture for the house we build. On previous trips, volunteers have also visited an orphanage, where they enable staff to have a day off and have visited the poorer areas, where they give out food and drinks.

I am keen to make this trip because I want to help others less fortunate than myself and to try new things and be a part of something I've never done before in a part of the world I've never visited. I believe it will enhance my teamwork skills, help build my confidence and enable me to make new friends.
