I've raised £4500 to get us to the National Finals this September.

In February of this year, the band travelled to the North West Regional Championships in Blackpool, to fight for a place in the National Brass Band Finals of Great Britain. Out of 18 very talented bands, we were thrilled to come second. This means that the band, led by Conductor John Wood, will have the opportunity to put Eccleston on the map and win the National Finals!
Our first qualification for the National Finals was in 1990, which saw us performing at the Royal Albert Hall (the original venue) under Conductor Harry Bentham. We received third place, which was our highest ever accolade. This was followed up with qualification to the finals the following year, twice in the 2000's, and our last visit in 2019.
So for our sixth time, with the smell of victory from the Regional Championships lingering in the air, we are practicing away twice a week on the edge of the park, focussed on perfection, and bringing home the trophy for Eccleston!
Eccleston Brass Band is completely self funded, and as much as we're excited about the National Finals, it's a big strain on us financially. Costs have been kept as low as possible but return coach travel and accommodation for the weekend (multiplied by a full brass band) is coming in at £4500.
We hope you can support us by giving a contribution towards the journey. It doesn't matter what you donate, every pound will help. Please share this page with everyone you know, and a huge thank you from all the band!
The band head to the National Finals at the new venue of Cheltenham Racecourse on 14th September 2024.
