I've raised £4000 to fund raise money for the Haematology ward at the Churchill Hospital.

Ecovis’s Giving Back Team has decided to support fundraising for the Churchill Hospital’s haematology ward, where patients can stay from anywhere between a few weeks to 6-12 months receiving treatment for blood diseases.
Jake’s story
“My dad was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis about 18 months ago and is still fighting to overcome this horrible disease.
For those that don't know what MF is, it is a serious bone marrow cancer that scars the body's bone marrow, preventing it from producing the cells the body needs. The only known treatment is a bone marrow transplant. Dad has spent 6 weeks at the Churchill Haematology ward where he underwent a transplant which unfortunately failed. Despite this our family remain positive and Dad is set to undergo another transplant in the coming months once he has built up his strength again. The money raised will go towards medical training for nurses, provisions for the day room & maintenance on the outdoor terrace, all based on the ward that dad has been treated on and will return to soon.
Our family would like to thank the fantastic staff through all ranks, from the cleaners to the consultants on the great work they do for the patients. And also another massive thank you to everyone that is registered on a bone marrow donor list like Anthony Nolan’s or has donated bone marrow, which makes the treatment possible.”

Unfortunately Just Giving only allows Gift Aid for charities that have registered with them. However The Haematology Ward Charitable Funds will apply to HMRC for Gift Aid when the funds are passed over.
