I've raised £1500 to Fund the Equal Access Scholarship Scheme at the University of York

I will be running the Yorkshire Marathon on Sunday 14th October, to raise money for Equal Access Scholarships, which help refugees attend university. The scholarships are a necessity for many and I have met some incredible scholars, who are incredibly passionate and simply incredible people who are continuously having a significant positive impact on university life at York.
Without the scholarships that are already in place, university would be unachievable for those who have been accepted onto the program, emphasising the need to increase the number of scholarships available nationally, and especially at York. This is incredibly urgent as without the scholarships and places at university, refugees in the UK are unable able to integrate, assimilate and contribute as effectively to wider society in the long term, nor have similar opportunities that I have been privileged with having.
The scholarships are not a must but a need. Please help if you can. Every donation will go straight towards funding for the scholarships. I am literally running a marathon.

Let's make university about merit, not politics.
