Edible Thatcham and Incredible Edible Oxford are creating a permanent edible garden on the Newbury Showground in time for this years Berkshire Show. It will contain fruit trees, fruit bushes and herbs, as well having a bug hotel! We have been given the site permanently by the Newbury Agricultural Society to promote the work of our organisations in our communities. The garden will form part of the educational trips tot he showground by local schools.
During the Berkshire Show people will be able to see the principles of a forest garden in action on this site.
With the thousands of people attending the show this is a wonderful opportunity to spread the Incredible Edible message and recruit people to help in our communities.
