Weʼve raised £5,480 to to buy a double coastal sculling boat for Fishguard and Goodwick rowing club in memory of Nicky.

Story
Nicky was a keen rower and much loved member of Fishguard and Goodwick rowing club., she was racing just 6 months before she lost her battle with cancer in 2013.
In memory of Nicky I would like to raise the funds to buy a new boat for the club which will be named after her and be known as 'NICKY'
'Nicky's Boat' will benefit the Rowing club hugely by broadening the rowing experience and enabling more people of all ages to take up the sport and compete in this category of sea rowing.
I would love to think of 'Nicky's spirit' living on in the freedom of this boat, and look forward to organizing a launching party in May 2019!

5 years agoHello all, just wanted to let you know that we have now picked Nicky's boat up and am organizing a design with her name to be put on soon. With the money we raised we have also been able to buy the oars and build a new boat rack for storage. You are all amazing! Thank you again for realizing this incredible boat in memory of Nicky. 5 years agoHi everyone please put the 11th May 2019 5pm in your diaries, as we now have enough money to buy Nicky's boat and just need the rest for some oars!! It would be great if as many of you lovely people could come as possible! Why not make a weekend of it, it will be great to catch up. We will launch then have food, drink, music and much merriment in the Yacht club, Lowertown, Fishguard Thank you all again for your amazing donations. See you at the launch! Lots of love, Ed xxxxx
