We're fundraising at AireFest for Northpoint. This year, we're backing a project close to our hearts: Little Voices.
Little Voices is a play-based dramatherapy programme for children aged 7 to 11 who have experienced domestic abuse. Through storytelling, puppetry and imagination, children get a safe space to process what they've been through. A place to start feeling like themselves again.
It was developed by Ann Dix, a dramatherapist with over 30 years' experience working with children and families in the North of England. Ann gifted the programme to Northpoint so it could keep changing children's lives.
Delivered by Northpoint in partnership with EdShift in Calderdale, the need is growing. Too many children are still facing this alone.
£30,000 will fund:
- 4 cohorts of the Little Voices programme
- Support for up to 32 children through structured 8-week groups
- A specialist team working across Northpoint and EdShift
- Evidence to help secure long-term funding and expansion
Every pound raised helps a child feel heard. Understood. Supported. Possibly for the first time.
Please donate what you can. Let's make sure no child faces this alone.
