I've raised £5000 to help fund an emergency building for primary school children after their school was devastated in the 2017 Ghana floods, before term starts.

Story

Following the recent devastating floods that hit the northern regions of Ghana as a result of just a couple of hours of rain, the pressure of the flood water has caused severe structural damage to SANDABBI Primary School rendering it unsafe for use. Ten classrooms, as well as a computer lab and staff areas, are now completely damaged and there is threats of further flooding to come. You can find out more about the school and see the effects of the flood for yourself, on our website .

With just a few weeks to go until the new term starts it is important that a new temporary annex is built to accommodate the children in a safe area.

We are looking to generate £5,000 to build an annex to an existing school that will house the students away from the affected area and make sure their education is not interrupted. You can find more information about SandAbbi School.
