I write this e-mail hoping to seek your help with a Christmas project this Friday 08th December.

I am trying to help some underprivileged children from my grandparents’ village in Romania who do not have winter clothing or shoes. These children have to walk 2-6 miles every day to get to their nearest school in temperatures that reach -10 to -25 degrees Celsius in winter. They often come from unstable or dysfunctional family backgrounds and the long walk and lack of suitable clothing means just getting to school is more challenging for them. This, coupled with the fact many of them get bullied as a result of their personal circumstance makes the children feel embarrassed and inadequate.
