I visited Brazil in 2017 where I discovered one of the privately run schools in the city of Parnamirim in the state of Rio Grande do Norte. The school is only small but provides education to children from age 3-11. For children in Brazil to get a good education parents need to send their children to privately run schools because the education in many of the public schools is not very good. The teachers in the school do an amazing job with the funds they have available to provide the facilities and education to give the children the best start in life.

My desire is that one day this school can move into bigger facilities and provide education to more children for longer hours of the day. I hope the money raised will give the school the funds to provide more materials for the children to further their education. Currently children only attend for an afternoon session of 4 hours. I believe the staff in the school wish to provide more for the children they have in their care.

I believe that every child in the world deserves a good education, the knowledge gained through attending school will assist them in being excellent adults in the future and also help them when it comes to having children of their own because they will be able to have created a good start through getting a good job.

I want to support the school and my belief of a good education by taking part in running events to promote education for children in countries where funds limit the resources teachers have for their students.
