Story

Since leaving the military in 2013 my personal mental health declined which I didn’t notice for a ling time. I also had an injury at work which resulted with surgery a year later and it was 2 years before I was mentally ready to start training again. It wasn’t until 2020 that I realised the important link between my own mental health and exercise and how it had played a big part in my life helping with mental health. Training and taking part in events in 2021 has been a major support for me. I want to help support my Regimental charity (Airborne Gunners Trust) the charity my wife Marisa works for Autism Anglia and also my current employers nominated charity Teenage Cancer Trust. So i have decided that during 2022 I will be completing 3 endurance events for the following charities:-

Autism Anglia

Airborne Gunners Trust

Teenage Cancer Trust,

The events are:

1. 30th May, 90km (56 miles) run starting at my Aldi store in Cowdray Avenue Colchester, then to every Aldi in Colchester to Clacton and Walton-on-Naze, and returning to Colchester. I will complete this within my store’s trading time 0800hrs-2200hrs (14hours).

2. 3rd July Ironman UK Bolton.

3, August, exact date TBC 3 x half iron distance triathlons on 3 consecutive days (1.2 miles Swim, 56 mile bike, 13.1 mile run).
