Story
Hello Everyone,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my page. I would be really grateful if you could donate to a cause close to my heart, which will give some children greater opportunities to excel.
Education is a key route to development and I know I wouldn't be where I am today without the educational opportunities I have received. The little boy in the cover photo attends St Anthony's Primary school in my hometown in Nigeria where it all started for me. Unfortunately, since the 70's when i was there, the classrooms and playground have not improved. The children are in an environment unfit for learning. They have minimal resources to improve things and the Government has not been able to help.
I would love you all to help me provide the children better learning environment by renovating and making the buildings safe. They also need classroom desks and their playground improved with erosion checks. .
On Friday 12th April I will start a 100-kilometer run, done as 10K everyday for 10 consecutive days ( will end on Sunday 21st April (Easter Sunday). This is to raise fund to help develop the primary school I attended as a child. I invite you to come and join me and run (or walk) as much as you can. I will start at 10am everyday of the 10 from Burton Albion‘s Pirelli stadium and hope to see you on one or more of the days.
This race started on 14th October 2018 when I ran the Leicester Half Marathon with my son-in-law, Nnaemeka. I appreciate all your various forms of support and words of encouragement. I am now on the second leg, which will be my greatest running challenge so far and has been described as fantastic but slightly bonkers event. My strength has come from the desire for more sponsorship to help me achieve the dream of giving something back to this primary shool that holds a special place in my heart.
Thank you and God bless
Edward
