Specsavers Crumlin Store Director Edwina Mc Kinney and Liffey Valleys Store Director Lisa Walsh along with Dispensing Optician Mohamed Quershi and Optician Orla Murphy will travel to Kolkata (formerly Calcutta) with the Hope Foundation where they will spend six days this November carrying out eye tests throughout the slums and across several hospitals. These eye tests will enable the team to prescribe glasses, where necessary restoring vision to children who would otherwise have been deprived of this basic need. The gift of sight will change the lives of the children, helping them to get an education and enabling them to lead normal, full lives.
