Story

From Effie:

Before Christmas I told my mum I wanted to raise money for charity and we discussed who I could support. I chose the Edwalton Food Hub (CIC) as they help people that live near me.

I decided that I would run 1km every day in January - which for a 6 year old was going to be a challenge! I started on the 1st of January, and I've had to walk some days due to the ice - but so far I've run or walked every day in the cold, snow, rain, and wind.

Please sponsor me so I can help the people in our community that need it most. And if you see me walking or running around the Edwalton Fields estate (I usually walk around Wheatcroft Drive, Sunflower Drive and back down Rose Way in my silver bobble hat and head torch!) please say hi and give me some encouragement :) I'll be with my parents or friends and family that are supporting me.

For anyone that wants to follow my progress - my mum is tracking all my runs and walks on Strava with a picture every day. (Carrie-Anne Renfrey Howe)

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, I will withdraw funds directly. It's the most efficient way to donate and saves time and costs. I will then provide this directly to Emma Haywood who runs the Food Hub (and she can monitor donations).
