    Story

After the devastating earthquake, the school is unsafe and needs to be demolished and rebuilt. Over 700 pupils rely on the school. In the short-term we would like to support the Headteacher to provide temporary classrooms. In the long-term we would like to support the school to demolish the unsafe buildings, clear the site and rebuild permanent classrooms to enable the school to move forwards.

Endon High School, Staffordshire has had a longstanding partnership with Kuleshwor Awas School in Nepal. In February 2014 a group of staff and pupils visited Nepal. The Endon High School community then fundraised and managed to bring a group of three Nepalese staff and nine pupils to visit Endon High School in March 2015, only a few weeks ago.

Updates about the welfare of the school community, the progress of the school restoring education, the use of temporary classrooms and the rebuilding of permanent classrooms will be published in the school newsletter which is available at www.endon.staffs.sch.uk

In the short-term to provide temporary classrooms will cost an estimated £5-10,000. In the long-term to demolish the unsafe buildings, clear the site and rebuild permanent classrooms will cost in the region of £250,000. We would like to play our small part in making this possible.

Our minimum target of £1000 has already been "smashed". Our next target is £5000 to provide more temporary classrooms so that education continues.

Today we raised over £2000 in school which we have sent to Nepal for emergency aid. Now we want to smash our target for the school rebuilding project.
