Eileen's favoured charity, which she supported for many years, was the YMCA Room Sponsor initiative. The programme, run by the YMCA, helps provide safe, supported accommodation for young people facing homelessness or leaving the care system.

Through the Room Sponsor scheme, the YMCA offers not only a secure place to stay but also emotional support, practical life skills, and, in some cases, assistance with returning to education; the support is tailored to meet the unique needs of each young person.

Eileen's passion for supporting young people and her belief that everyone deserves to be given a chance in life was clear to all who knew her. As a charity close to her heart, it was her wish that any donations made her name go to this cause.
