Story

Lindis words to me today "let me wake up from this nightmare, and tell me this has all just been a bad dream"

Im going to try and Keep this short and sweet.

At the end of July Lindi who many of us know as the happy go lucky fitness instructor that never stops suffered a major stroke which has left her completely paralysed down one side. As well as this Lindi also suffered Cerebral Edema (swelling of the brain) which meant she had to be rushed to Dundee to have part of her skull removed.

Lindi Is currently in Raigmore Hospital Stroke Unit where she is being kept until she has had enough physiotherapy as well as an operation to have a metal plate fitted on her skull.

Lindi currently receives physiotherapy twice when possible on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday as at the moment the unit is largely under staffed and on the days she doesn't have physiotherapy she is going out of her mind all she wants is to be at home with her kids. As everybody is aware these types of strokes mainly happen to older people and Lindi, her family and the doctors feel if she was able to receive more physiotherapy she would get better and home much quicker.

As you can Imagine Private Physiotherapy doesn't come cheap as well as the many adaptions, that will need done around her home. The current rate of private physiotherapy is £45 per hour, I am hoping that with your help we can raise enough for Lindi to have a 100 hours of private physiotherapy to get her back to her normal, happy, fit little self.

Lindi was always doing fundraising classes and trying to help others get fit and maybe in return we can help her get fit, all it would take is 450 kind souls to donate £10 to help achieve this target.

Lindi was one of the healthiest people I know and this could happen to anyone of us, as a mother I can only imagine the hell of being separated from your kids for that long as well as how lonely and boring it gets being stuck in a hospital room. So I am hoping that with the help of you guys we can help her get better.

Lets get her fit! Lets get her Strong! Lets help her to be happy :-)

Thanks in advance for what ever you can spare on behalf of Lindi and her family its much appreciated.

Kind Regards

Eilidh (Lindis cousin)
