My name is Ela. I'm a photographer. Or rather, I was. A few days ago I lost all my equipment ... Together with my husband decided to go with the children for a trip. We wanted to show them the area and get to know new places. In our area (Cark, LA11), buses do not run so the train trip was supposed to be an additional attraction. Of course, I could not refuse and took my camera with me, Nikon D810 + Sigma 135mm. Capturing my own children's experiences is my greatest passion, so I could not imagine leaving my camera at home!

The day was great, I made a lots of wonderful photos. Unfortunately when we want back, 2 trains were cancelled as they hadn't got drives. That's how it started. We are waiting for a train 2 houres. The children were tired; they were crying that they wanted to return home quickly. Because it was evening and all taxis were very busy, we decided not to wait for them but to stop the accidental driver and ask for a ride home. It's only 2.5 miles form me and my husband but unfortunalety for 2 small kids it was very long distance. My husband told me that we can catch some driver and we will be at home in 15 minutes. I supported his decision.

This was our biggest mistake! When we got there and we got the whole family out of the car, the driver drove away with a screech of tires, stealing my photographic equipment, my work tools and kids toys!

I am depressed, and after contact with the police, I lost hope that I will recover my camera and lens. The police think that there is no chance of finding a thief, my clients are waiting for photo sessions, and I can not do it for them. I feel helpless."
