I am 15 years old and I am raising money to travel to Kenya in 2023 with a company called Camps International. With the support of others like me we aim to positively impact the communities, wildlife and local environments we visit. With around 51% of East Africa living in poverty it is important to better the loves of the communities. The valuable project work I could be taking part on might include: building classrooms to improve access to education; installing a clean water supply; constructing marketplaces for communities to generate income; building homes for vulnerable families; or supporting microfinance initiatives with local women's groups. Camps International is a social enterprise that makes a profit, to reinvest in communities and projects. This also means I will fundraise to cover the cost of my trip to support the valuable project work I will be taking part in. I am extremely grateful to any who wish to donate to my cause as not only will this benefit local communities in Kenya but will also help me as a person. From this unique adventure I will have new skills and life experiences, it will enhance my CV, I will be able to experience new cultures, and will develop my teamwork and leadership skills.
