Hello there and thank you for visiting our funding page dedicated to Eleanor.

As many of you may well know now, Eleanor has been diagnosed with MND, a very harmful illness that affects full mobility and the ability to get from A to B. In the recent months, we have learnt as a family the magnitude of the work that needs to be done to her current home in order to make her comfortable while coming to terms with the news and changes to her life. The changes consist of a stair lift, adaptations to the access points of the house, additional supports to aid balance and vitally a wet room. So far we have had so fantastic support from various people and organisations to help with the funding for the work, however because of the scale that is required we are a long way off what needs to be done to her home, therefore leading to the creation of this page.

This page is place for anybody to leave a donation that will go directly towards the adaptations and building work that we are so eager to get done, giving Eleanor comfort and ensuring she stays in the environment where she has been comfortable all of her life, and those priceless memories have been created. If we can get this funding it will achieve comfort, it well ensure safety and allow her to maintain her independence while remaining in the one location on this planet where our family has grown together, helped each other, gained strength from each other and been the safest.

I can't stress how important it is to get this work done, simply because it will allow Eleanor to eliminate the stress and worry of moving etc - We need her strength to be directed to a more beneficial direction, that can be done if we can all together ensure she is happy, comfortable and of course feels safe.
