Weʼre raising £4,000 to Eliot Smith Dancers' Relief Fund
- Newcastle upon Tyne (UK)
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered nonprofit.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
As Company Dancers of Eliot Smith Dance (ESD), we are drawn from the UK and throughout the world, and we are all deeply saddened by the devastating effects of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Global Pandemic.
The consequent disruption in normal activities has, of course, led to the cancellation or postponement of all ESD tours and events, and consequently we find that we are now left to face the many challenges and uncertainties that lie ahead of us without any income.
In light of the outbreak of Covid-19, ESD has refashioned its spring and summer season of activities into a digital form, tailored to allow people to continue engaging in and benefiting from dance and culture during self-isolation.
ESD intends to offer a range of exciting and informative contemporary dance works, to be made available via its website and social media and delivered by ESD company dancers and guest artists, which we hope can help to support us financially during these challenging times.
ESD have set a goal of raising £4,000, equivalent to £500 per dancer. No contribution is too big or too small. We greatly appreciate your generosity and continued support and look forward to bringing dance in digital form to you.
Thank you for taking the time to donate to Eliot Smith Dancers Relief Fund.
