On August 7th 2022, in the early hours of the morning, my life was changed forever. I attended Leeds Pride weekend and while on a night out before pride, I was s*xually assaulted and r*ped in a back alley behind a club by someone I didn’t even know. While this happened my attackers “friend/s” stood by, watched, laughed and recorded it for it to be later put on the internet. That day has changed my life and me as a person, I have suffered incredible anxiety and pain due to this horrific attack. A part of me has been lost and will be something I never fully get back.

However, through my pain and my journey to recovery, I have spent a lot of time thinking about what I could do to get my life back and reclaim my life for me. I have been working with the wonderful people at Rothacs, who have been an incredible part of my journey and have a wonderful service which helps so many people who have been in a heartbreaking situation like myself or worse.

So I have decided to do a charity skydive. I feel this is the first big step to take back my life and in doing so, to raise the money for this wonderful service, as I don’t know how I would have coped without the support of them, my wonderful family and friends who have all been amazing with me. Through the tears, the anxiety, the sleepless nights and much much more.

I know we’re in a money crisis right now, but anything you could donate or even sharing the post would mean a great deal to me. Full transparency, some of this money will go towards the skydive itself and the rest will go the charity.
