Story
Our beloved Mum, Paula Camber, was taken into hospital with a suspected stroke on Tuesday 10th July. We stayed by her bedside for 4 days waiting for any information - the cause, the treatment, the plans for after care. We sat in the hope that the doctors taking care of her would have her sent home to us well and fighting fit in no time. After the promise of an MRI that never happened, by Saturday, she took a turn for the worse and was rushed to Kings College Hospital after suffering a huge trauma that left her unresponsive and fighting for her life. The doctors at Kings did all they could for her but on Wednesday 18th July, with broken hearts, we said our final goodbyes. Time stood still for us, but my Mum gave other families the chance of life, someone else's time is just beginning once more. 5 of her organs to 4 people - A priceless gift that will forever be her legacy. She had the biggest heart and made time for anyone who knew her and just for that we want to give her the send off that she truely deserves. Any money that anyone can afford would be a huge help and we, as a family, would be eternally grateful for your generosity and compassion at such a hard time. If we are lucky enough to reach our target, anything more will be donated to Kings College Hospital. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
