The Diocese of Derby has had to pause their work in India supporting the education, health and wellbeing of children and young people from deprived areas during the covid pandemic. Our friend and colleague Paul Reed has requested that instead of a leaving gift, we donate money to this project which he has supported as our placement lead whilst working at the University of Derby. The project has provided international placements for our social work, health and social care, youth work and child and family health and wellbeing students. This gift will support the project to reinvigorate after the pandemic and allow the important work to continue.
