My bestfriend and first pet Mr Tommy has been diagnosed with squamos cell carcinoma in his mouth. This is an aggressive cancer and he will not survive for than a few weeks/months without treatment. Tommys cancer is in a hard to reach place in his throat meaning its not simple to remove and surgery could potentially end his life too. We need to act fast to get him scanned to see how big the cancer is and how best to treat it whether it be cryotherap, chemotherapy or radiotherapy or surgery.

Tommy saved my life when i was battling mental health issues including severe depression. Without him nudging my head every morning for his breakfast or snuggling me when i was down i wouldnt be here now. I contemplated taking my life several times in this period becasue i was lonely and afraid the reason that stopped me? Tommy. He relied on me and he needed me and he deserved that love after his rough start in life.

Tommys battle with cancer will be a hard one but i am prepared to fight with every bone in my body as he saved me so its my turn to save him. Tommy is FIV+ and this makes his healing processes harder. He was rescued by me in 2021 and we havent looked back since, despite his awful start in life as a stray he chose to trust me and for that i will be forever grateful.

His treatment will be very expensive and due to being unable to work due to my mental health problems i am on low income. His initial consultation will be circa £300 alone, he will then need MRIs and depending on treatment choice this could cost thousands. But if i dont try i will never forgive myself, no fur baby deserves to die and especially not like this.
