Roman's life as a lawyer before the invasion

Paul, Liz and Dave are a team from Henley on Thames and Reading who united to raise funds to deliver urgent medical supplies directly to our friends in Ukraine.,

In May Paul coordinated and drove in a convoy of 4 vehicles laden with medical supplies to the Polish border with Ukraine delivering supplies directly to our contacts. He and his fellow drivers used their own money for fuel.

In Ukraine, our friend Roman was a M&A transaction lawyer when bombs started falling on Kyiv and Mariia was CEO of his law firm.

Mariia now heads up logistics and distribution - getting supplies to the front lines, whilst Roman joined the volunteer defenders.

Roman’s initial unit of volunteers was recently disbanded and largely redeployed to the eastern front line. Roman is now an officer stationed very close to the northern border with Russia, from where the first attack on Kyiv was mounted.

Bombs are increasing in frequency and Roman is desperate for help, as his new unit is very poorly equipped and vulnerable to a change in strategy.

He has appealed to us for medical supplies and vehicles. They currently have a shortage of uniforms and a couple of old cars which get stuck in the mud. Roman is standing next to their only ambulance.

Our mission is to raise £25,000 before the end of June to buy 5 Land Rovers, fully kit them out with medical supplies and deliver them to the Ukrainian border at the beginning of July.
