This may strike a chord with those who have wanted to help a sick animal and not been able to find a taxi willing to help or have been charged an extortionate fare.
PAWS for thought 🐾 🐾
After experiencing a terrible week of looking after a very sick stray pup and then making the decision to have her put to sleep I learned first hand how difficult it is to find a taxi willing to transport a sick dog for treatment. I met andi carre and Julie shaw during this time who gave wonderful support to me and care to the puppy. Andi spent the day with me in helping to put this puppy out of its misery.
I am now thinking about a way to raise approximately £4000 to buy a cargo carrying rickshaw for Andi Carre to transport sick strays to the animal rescue centre. The vehicle has to be registered and owned by an Indian national and Lourence Fernandes my trusted loyal friend of many years and owner of Jacksons beach cafe has agreed to do this (he has been treating sick strays at his beach shack and is interested in doing more to help.) He will then freely loan the vehicle out to andi on request. I have offered free advertising for his business on the vehicle as a thank you for his sponsorship. I was originally looking for a tuktuk at £2000 but have decided that a cargo carrying rickshaw is more suitable for the cause. Hence I asking for for more money to cover this. In the event that not enough money is raised then any raised funds will be given to andi carre to spend on the dogs needs.
