I've raised £10000 to buy a "Magic Table" for our residents at Elizabeth Court with advanced Dementia

I am Danae Bird, the Activities Coordinator at Elizabeth Court where we have many residents who have differing degrees of dementia. We try and make sure they have happy, active and fulfilling lives.
You can find out more at our Facebook page Anchor - Elizabeth Court and on twitter:@ElizabethCrt
The Tovertafel (magic table) is a fun care innovation that connects older people in the late stage of their dementia journey with each other and with their surroundings, all the while stimulating movement.
The beautiful games were developed specifically for the target group and can be played both independently and under supervision.
We had a demonstration in April and were delighted with how our residents responded to it. We think every resident will get something out of this marvellous technology .
We are now actively raising funds to buy one of these for Elizabeth Court. The initial cost is £6000 plus VAT making a total of £7250.
£10000 will enable us to buy the full suite of games.
We know it will take time to raise this money and are very grateful for any support you can offer which will bring us closer to our target.
The home manager Sue Guyon and Activities Coordinator Danae Bird paricipated in the Thames Bridges Trek on the 8th September putting their best feet forward to get the fundraising under way and on Sunday 13th January they're off again to do the London winter Walk, a 20km loop around London.
