Story

Please spare a minute to read and donate! Yvette and Ella are cycling 250 miles from London to Paris this September (update: unfortunately due to covid restrictions in France we will cycle the London to Paris distance in South England). We are raising money in aid of Safenet Domestic Abuse and Support  (refuge services for women and children in the North West) and Young Minds (children and young people's mental health charity).

In 2020 it was estimated 2.3 million adults experienced domestic abuse in the last year in the UK. The coronavirus pandemic and multiple lockdowns have heightened the importance of recognising domestic abuse and increasing available support. Safenet offers refuge services for women and children 365 days a year and live chat services available everyday during three dedicated timeslots.

Young People's mission is to make sure all young people can get the mental health support they need, when they need it, no matter what. Young People have developed 3 programme's, including councelling services from trained mental health staff and a youth-led movement for change.

Le cycle: We’ll spend 4 days in the saddle, cycling 250 miles from coast to coast. The challenge starts at the Thames estuary and across the South of London, then passing through the west-country highlights before arriving on the seafront finish at Burnham-on-Sea.

Every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause and making a difference! We hope to complete the London to Paris route once covid restrictions have faded!
