Story

At the end of June 2018, as part of a college trip, we're visiting Shewula in eSwatini (prev. Swaziland).

eSwatini and particularly Shewula are very deprived communities. Despite education being state funded until the age of 12, many children cannot afford education due to high costs of travel, books, uniforms etc. Furthermore, very few children are educated beyond this age due to extensive school fees. Shewula is also an area where over 1/4 of the population are HIV positive which has led to many orphaned children.

Truro college (and now Callywith), has been running this trip for over 10 years and we are the only charity/outside source of funding to the children of Shewula which makes the money we raise all the more important.

Our aim is to raise as much money possible to help support these children with school fees, transport, food, medical costs, stationary etc. This will help to ensure the best possible future for them.

Any donations will be hugely appreciated! (No money I raise will be for personal costs).

Thankyou, Ella Slade
