Story

Before I leave here, (to go and work within the NHS) I have set myself the goal of raising enough money to make our gardens an 'accessible to all' sensory garden that will enhance the lives of our residents. I will be working closely with our amazing Activities Co-ordinator, Debbie Marlow in achieving this vision.

We have a garden that we would like to make into a wonderful sensory setting, so that it will be a safe and inviting area residents will benefit from being in. The sense of smell, the feeling of the sunshine on their faces, being able to sit and just enjoy their surroundings will benefit both mental and physical well-being. Many of the residents speak fondly of when they had their own gardens and allotments they tended to and how much they miss this activity. I am looking to raise this amount of money, so that we can engage with a local gardening company to come along and help us achieve this goal

The following pictures are what our garden currently looks and would like to vamp it up to be Dementia friendly for our lovely residents,
