Ellas storey- On 13th of October Becky, Dave and families lives were turned upside down and their and our hearts ripped out when they took their daughter Ella-Rose to A&E with breathing difficulties, she was struggling that much..... every breath she took was like her last. This was after over ruling her Dr who over the phone put it down to not taking her inhaler often enough.

When we got there they checked her over and put her straight on oxygen as her levels was below 90%.

They then sent her for an x ray and were told she had pneumonia, in the meantime they took some bloods, and they were told her white blood cells were rocketing over 100 which was alarmingly high, a short time later they were told the devastating news that their daughter had an aggressive form of leukaemia (T Cell Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia) 😢 she was then rushed to ICU at Manchester children’s hospital where they were then told that her breathing difficulties were not only because of fluid in her lung but she had a tumor on her windpipe which was dangerously close to closing it all together stopping her from breathing,we was then informed that the tumour was pressing so aggressively against her windpipe that it was impossible to fit a tube past it to get air to her lungs, they were then informed that the next couple of days was critical😭

At this point, to them she looked perfectly fine but deep down they knew she was really unwell, and she didn’t know a thing.

The consultant then told them they need to get her over to Alder Hey as they have more advanced equipment in case things took a turn for the worst, Alder Hey worked their magic over a few days and managed to reduce the tumour to the point that she was able to breath by herself, when she got to that point she was then sent back to the best place for her.....Manchester’s Ward 84 to start Chemotherapy where she will stay for a length of time to treat and beat this cancer💪🏼

Ella is a fighter and will beat this👊🏻

Becky, Dave and the family can’t thank the staff at both Alder Hey and Manchester enough for taking care of our baby, also all our friends & family who have gone above and beyond in helping us (you know who you are) honestly they are totally overwhelmed and lost for words, at all the help and generosity.

We know this is a tough time for everyone right now but even tougher fir siome families . Please help and support us in raising money for this amazing , strong, beautiful family.
