This Summer I shall be working with the UK-based charity, Therapies Unite on a phyiostherapy placement in Mexico. The charity works in the city of Puerto Vallarta, to support individuals of varying ages with disabilities. The work Therapies Unite do is extremely important and worthwhile as many individuals do not have a basic level of support, available therapy or equipment. The charity aims to create sustained, positive changes. They have created many successful outreach projects, including postural management classes, hydrotherapy and swimming lessons for children, visiting schools, community centres and clinics. The money I raise will be going directly to the charity's projects this summer, such as those previously mentioned.
