School Aid Romania.

I am part of a group of Lower Sixth pupils, travelling to Romania in January. This school trip is in its 23rd year. We travel to Romania visiting orphanages, old people’s homes, TB hospitals and gypsy villages. Each year the pupils are asked to fundraise as much as possible to help benefit the lives of those they visit. Over the years basic equipment has been bought, transport to school has been paid for and support has been provided to improve the quality of life of those people living in the areas visited. Great friendships have developed and past pupils still talk about their visit many years later. Not only do the people in Romania benefit from this trip but also those making the trip. They talk about the great feeling of helping others and a deeper appreciation of gratitude for their own homes and families. I am keen to fundraise as much as possible to take to Romania and greatly appreciate any support you can give me.
