She is twenty two and the youngest of four,
Nick and Anne could not wish for more,
Then one day the sixteenth of December,
is sadly a day we will all remember,
In the early hours a knock on the door,
Ellie had been hurt like never before,
Her family and friends with her night and day,
She will be showered with love every step of the way,
Her difficult journey home starts now,
We know not when or even how.

On Saturday 16th December 2017 Ellie's life was turned upside down. In the early hours of the morning she was involved in a serious car crash to which she suffered life changing injuries. Ellie spent the next few weeks fighting for her life, having to endure many hours of intense surgery.

As the days passed, with her loved one by her side, Ellie began to show some signs of life.

Nearly 8 weeks on and she has shown strength and determination unlike anything we have seen, every nurse, doctor and surgeon is stunned by Ellie's recovery.

Every day we are asked if there's anything people can do or get for Ellie but other than professional help there really is nothing she currently needs. But when the time comes and the dust has settled Ellie's life will need to get back on track and with your love, support and generosity hopefully this will give her a bit of a head start.
