I've raised £3000 to To help pay for spinal surgery and treatment for my little Cocker Spaniel Maisie. Estimated cost £7500. please donate whatever you can.

As some of you may already know my beautiful little cocker spaniel Maisie has been extremely unwell.
Around 13 days ago she started being unable to jump or walk properly. We were back and forth frantically at the vets and were told she might have Intervertebral disc disease (IVDD) – in simple terms a prolapsed/herniated disc in her spine. After a lot of medication, rest and monitoring she still continued to deteriorate. Unfortunately, she took a turn for the worse on Saturday and we had to take her to the Emergency specialist Animal Hospital in Cheshire.
Our worst fears were confirmed following an MRI and it showed that her spinal cord was being compressed so severely that she could no longer walk and was in a lot of pain. In order to save and improve her quality of her life we have had to go ahead with spinal surgery. She has had the surgery today and the next 24 hours are critical. Following on from this stage she has a long road to recovery.
If any of you have ever met Maisie aka–Piglet then you will know that she is the most amazing and beautiful little dog with the friendliest temperament. For the last 6 years she has brought so much love and happiness into my life and to all who meet her. I have been so lucky and privileged to have such a wonderful dog and as I am sure you can appreciate this whole ordeal has been absolutely devastating. This situation has come out of the blue as there was no trauma or any indication of injury prior.
Unfortunately and stupidly I cancelled my dog insurance just a short time ago as she has never been ill and the premiums continued to go up and up. Such is life.
The estimated cost so far for her treatment – MRI and surgery etc. is around £7500. My wonderful family are helping me as much as they can however we cannot cover it all. Therefore, I am asking my friends and anyone who has ever met Maisie to donate whatever they can to help me pay for her treatment. Even if it is just £1.00 then every little helps.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and donate.
