I've raised £1200 to CH Plus

Over the last decade, Chorlton has become an affluent area and is known for being home to many artists, musicians and skilled professionals. It is time to bring residents’ professional skills and abilities to the benefit of the wider community.
CH+
This year, we have had the online shop up and running, run three different pop up shop events, including a Christmas Market, and have run five arts for wellbeing workshops for adults with long term health conditions.
ARTS FOR WELLBEING
Next year, CH+ would like to develop the F-Art club into a closed, inclusive arts-for-wellbeing 8 week course that will work on a ‘pay-what-you-feel’ model for people suffering with long term health problems. The course will be held at a local venue that is wheelchair accessible and will end with a week long exhibition of participant's work. Participants will be invited to make things to sell on the shop, as well as for themselves.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
CH+ will work on an asset-based community development model, aiming to provide support for existing community groups in aspects such as venue hire and social media/marketing support.
A ‘What would you like to see in your community?’ feature will enable CH+ to help individuals or groups evolve their interests into sustainable and self-led community ventures.
Why the delay?
Hi, I’m Ellie. I am taking a year out of my MA in Social Work in order to have some major surgery, starting in February. The shop and the course are things that I can set up now and run comfortably whilst recovering.
THE GBP.
Some funding is required to get the organisation off the ground and registered as a Community Interest Company – initially this will cover administrative costs of running the shop, materials for workshops, marketing and recruitment, refunding volunteer expenses, and hopefully a small monetary recompense for yours truly.
