I've raised £5000 to help part fund a downstairs bedroom and wetroom extension to help Ellie live an easier life

Ellie is coming up to 2 years old and has had a tough start to life, however she is the happiest, stongest and bravest girl we have ever known and we are proud to have her as our daughter.
Prior to birth Ellie was diagnosed with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus. From birth the true affects of this became clear and we were told Ellie was life limited and unlikely to live a long life. Ellie has many complications and a limited amount of brain, although she is blind she gets so much joy from her other senses. Ellie has developed beyond what doctors ever thought and although she has had many hospital stays and more recently 2 ICU admissions she always comes out the other side suprising everyone. Ellie needs 24 hour care and this is something which dictates her life and ability to engage in 'normal' life and activities.
We are planning a down stairs extension which will be part funded. This will include a down stairs bedroom, wetroom and sensory area with access to all of the downstairs via a hoist. Ellie has very limited mobility and as she is getting older it is becoming increasingly difficult to carry her safely upstairs and to bath her or support her needs. Within the next year this will no longer be possible and with the help and support of fundraising we hope that she will finally be able to have the daily necessities available to her at a a ground floor level.
