Ellie is a 17 year old from Newark, who has qualified for the Dance World Cup in Spain this year. We are setting up this fundraising page to help with her travel, accommodation and uniform expenses.

Ellie has been dancing with Elaine Varney School of Dance since the age of 3 in various styles and is working towards her Advanced Ballet Exam and Transitionary Performers Tap Exam. She has also successfully competed in numerous competitions throughout the years.
At the age of 10, she was introduced to contemporary through Dean Matthew Skiba, she found a love for this and is wanting to pursue a career in contemporary. In 2020, Ellie successfully auditioned for Dance 4 (CAT) programme in Nottingham and attends every Saturday.

Through lockdown Ellie entered several online dance competitions with her own choreography with some remarkable results and through this she found Dance Creation. On winning the favourite routine of the whole competition out of around 500 routines, Dance Creation offered her a scholarship to enter their live competition in 2021. Again with her own choreography, she placed in 4 out of 5 routines. She also won the overall award of Face of Dance Creation which has opened her opportunities more with photoshoots and working with new choreographers as well as taking her to watch the Dance World Cup last year, which pushed Ellie to enter for the 2022 final. Through Dance Creation, Ellie was able to audition for the UK Team and with her own choreography, she entered a Contemporary routine and came 2nd in her category, qualifying to compete in Spain.

As you can imagine, we are incredibly proud of Ellie and she is so excited to represent her country. We would love to get her to Spain to compete, but this comes at a cost.

Any monies raised over what we need to cover, we wish to donate it to the Children’s Bereavement Centre in Newark who have helped Ellie when they really needed it.
