    Story

Ellie is a beautiful football loving teenage girl from Bodmin in Cornwall and she has recently been diagnosed with sarcoma, a type of cancer. Please help us to raise funds to support her family financially whilst they concentrate on getting the care, support and treatment their daughter needs at this precious time. Ellie is currently in Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, over 140 miles from her home town so any donations will be very gratefully received.

The family have been overwhelmed by the response this page has had already and the donations that have been made so far. Ellie's mum Claire said “It’s so humbling, “Some of them are from strangers who don’t even know us but have read the story and been touched by it. It’s just nice to know that people are there and are thinking about us. I look at it every day and I’m crying reading the messages.”

Ellie is very grateful to all the doctors and nurses looking after her, and to everyone back home who is supporting her. She has said “It’s amazing how people are looking after me and helping me to get treatment. My notifications are so high. It’s so lovely to hear from so many people and to know I have got that support.”

Ellie has been diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer that primarily affects children and teenagers. She will be starting her treatment in Bristol this week, 140 miles from home. As the family are unable to work during this difficult time, please donate and help support them so they can focus on getting Ellie the care and support she needs. Ellie and her family would like to thank all those that have donated so far, and sent cards, gifts and messages of support.
