In 2016 a very close and longstanding friend of mine, Brookin Johnson was rushed to hospital due to a very rare condition known as fibromyalgia and from this condition it has paralysed Brookin from the chest down and created many further life threatening conditions which he has fought hard to overcome.
Time is running out for Brookin and his possible rehabilitation so his family are now looking to raise money to take him to a specialist fibromyalgia clinic in Switzerland which is estimated to be £80,000 and then to the USA with costs amounting to £100,000 to enable this to happen.

I have chosen to take on a major challenge which I hope I can follow through with for my old friend.
In early March I will be jumping out of a plane in Salisbury in order to raise donations towards the substantial medical costs associated BUT this is not the hard part, I will also be alcohol free for 28 days from 07/02/2017 before the jump in order to allow the plane to take off.
Seeing what Brookin has had to endure and what he has overcome makes me really proud to be a part of his life, what I am doing feels like a tiny thing in reality and really puts things into perspective for all of us.
