Hi Guys!!

I'm Saskia, and this crowdfunded is for my boyfriend Elliot. Elliot is a 19 Year old trans man. He has only just came out after struggling to be able to be confident with his identity for the past 5 years. Now, after building up his confidence and coming out to friends and family members he has started looking at how he is able to start his transition. Two months ago he got a referral to The Gender Clinic, but the waiting list is two to three years. Obviously he was devastated and still is. We have contacted every different health insurance to see if they cover trans health issues like surgeries and hormone replacement therapy, just hoping one of them would say yes, obviously they did not, because its 'not essential' and 'he won't die without it'. Whatever!!!

Anyways, we have looked at so many other ways we could afford to pay for him to begin his transition, but there is no way we could afford it. I see him in so much pain because he is unable to start his transition medically. We recently made friends with someone who told us that the best way to get medical help is to save up for each appointment and only make one when one when we can afford it. We have begun to save up but we are both on incredibly low wages and still have to pay rent etc. The gender clinic is in London and we are in Yorkshire which also creates even more expense.

So I wanted to be really cheeky and ask if there was any chance you's could donate anything you could towards us saving up for his initial appointment. Even if it was just a pound. So Elliot could start his medical transition and start this new chapter in his life.
