I've raised £100 to go towards buying essentials for the Cynthia Spencer Hospice in Northampton to make their outdoor space better accessible.

I’m currently on week 4 of my NCS experience and me and my team are currently working on our ’Social Action Project’ in which we aim to ‘make a difference’, we decided that we wanted to work with the Cynthia Spencer Hospice in our hometown Northampton as we all admire the work they do and want to help them in any way we can. The hospice is currently raising money to improve their outdoor garden and woodland space in order to make it more accessible to patients and overall a nicer environment for them when being able to experience the full extent of the woodland they have, the main improvement being an extension of the path. The money me and my team raise will then be going towards buying anything the hospice needs for this project and the overall result of it, for example; materials, outdoor furniture and accesories etc.
To raise this money we decided to hold a Cake Sale and organise a Sponsored Walk. The cake sale took place on the 29th of July at the Kingdom Life Church in Northampton and some more cakes will also be sold there on the 31st. Our sponsored walk is taking place on the 1st of August at Pitsford Reservoir in Northampton and we will each individually decide how many laps we wish to complete on the day (Each lap is approximately 7 Miles). As extra support to the charity we are also as a team volunteering in the warehouse to help out wherever needed with things such as donation sorting, this will take place from 9-3 on the 31st of July.
We really hope we can make a difference for the charity and that you can be apart of this too in helping out in any way you can! Any donations will really help in making a difference in be able to buy essentials for the project itself and after the completion of it too.
Thank You
