Our beloved “Crystal Palace Hat Lady” Elloney Foster, recently passed away on February 12th 2025 after a long term of suffering from a chronic leg condition which affected her mobility. Through it all Elloney’s kind heart and caring nature shined up until the very end. Our family knows that Grandma has touched the hearts of so many over the years, and that she will be dearly missed.

Elloney dedicated her life to always helping and caring for others, especially children, even though she had been suffering for years herself.

Grandma made an impact on people by knitting hats and scarves for her local Crystal Palace FC team supporters, she also did this for families and individuals in the area. Many will remember Grandma standing outside the Westow Hill Sainsbury’s or at ALDI in Norwood Junction, with her colourful bag full of hats, and a beaming smile.

We are all so devastated by Elloney’s departure and are not prepared for the huge cost of funeral expenses, as she had no life insurance policy. Therefore, we are asking for donations to help to cover the cost of Elloney’s funeral, as her last wish was to have a simple burial.

We want to give Elloney the memorial she deserves to honor her memory and say our last goodbyes.
