Elona and her dog Dory were well known amongst the dog walking community in Clissold Park. She visited the park everyday, knew just about every dog in the park and could usually be found in the cafe chatting with friends. She was well known for her forthright opinions on many subjects, but she could also be relied on for a really good laugh. Sadly Elona died very suddenly earlier this year and a few of us from the dog walking community feel it would be a fitting tribute to have a bench dedicated to her in the park. All the money raised will go to Hackney Council to fund the bench and plaque.
